I think the music world is finally seriously calling to me. As I'm sure you are all aware, I am in a little punkabilly band called "The Nekronotz". But just recently a new rockabilly band invited me over to play upright bass cause their usual bassist couldn't make it or something. It was really fun. All very simple rockabilly songs. you know. E A C D song structures. But then recently they called me to play again. I then find out their usual bassist is playing drums until they find a real drummer. So they invited me to go play upright bass on their first demo this saturday. I'm going to be playing on a cd. I mean, ya, it's a very small band, and it's a demo of probably about 4 or 5 songs... But still. It's exciting to me. Plus you know, I'm also still constantly working on megalodon shit. I need to find out of noah is serious about playing bass or not... If he's not, any portland people interested? It's kind of a uh... post-punk reverby surfy rock band. With silly lyrics about undead monsters, sharks, videogames, and such. Btw if you're against lyrics about nothing, don't worry, that's not what this is. I make points about real life through silly lyrics. BLAH BLAH BLAH MUSIC LOL, ALSO DICKS. |

Today I played upright bass for the second time in my life (seriously, that is. Not just being an ass hole and dicking around). This band invited me over for their band practice, cause their usual bassist was sick. They had no idea I had only played it once before (thought it was a little weird they invited me), but they said all things considering, I was pretty good. They said if their bassist if for whatever reason left, they'd think of me as the next option. Which is making me think about upright a lot. I don't own one, but I've wanted to for YEARS. And all of a sudden out of nowhere, bands from all over portland want me to play upright for them. I don't really get it, but I'm not gonna fight it. As soon as I get a job, I'm getting an upright ASAP. I'm thinking of painting it white. And having Victoria paint some other shit on it. I'm excited. In other news it looks like the next nekronotz band practice is on wednesday or thursday. ROCK! |

| L4D Tournament! |

Me and some friends entered a L4D tournament. We did pretty damn good I'd say. We showed up 15 minutes late, so they squeezed us in, we had two last minute replacements, and it was all of our first time using the PC version, with mouse and keyboard, and we placed in 2nd place. Not half bad!! Next tournament we'll practice more, and have the people we originally wanted to have. 2nd place prize included 40 dollars (which was a full team entree fee...so we made our money back!), free backspace memberships for all of us, and some lemonade tea stuff. Overall it was a very fun experience. Our first battle was ground kontrol. We kicked the crap out of them! We also fought against a team who actually had uniforms on and hats that said their team name. I think overall the coolest thing was having people from other teams talk to us about our strategy. Apparently me and my friend justin use strategies in left 4 dead that most people have never even seen before. Overall it was a really fun experience, and I exchanged gamertags with quite a few new friends. Good times!!

yep! In a little band called the "Nekronotz"! They are a punkabilly band from portland. I'm going to be playing bass. For now I'll probably play electric bass for shows, but somewhere down the road I'm gonna be switching over to upright. I am excite! Here is a picture from our first band practice.

Boy, a few years ago, I would think it's really hot out....But ever since I went to arizona, I'd feel like a pussy.
Megalodon is writing LOTS. I think we'll be about ready for shows in about 3 months. Usually it wouldn't take so long, but Noah is learning an instrument for this project. So you know. I got a new tattoo. I won't post it on here, cause It's on my facebook and my myspace. And if you're not friends with me on there then uh...Just ask for a link I guess. |

Oh livejournal, it's been a while. Job hunt is STILL difficult, but it looks like I might be working for winco. Stocking the shelves. That's not too bad. Sure beats holding a sign all day. Plus the least kissing ass to people possible, the better. And yes, I know you always have to kiss ass when you have a job, so don't post a comment educating me on it. I'm just saying I don't want anything to do with customer service.
Oh whatelse... I'm writing a lot of songs these days. My most recent one is about how I miss nintendo back in the days. NES/SNES/N64. God, I'm such a loser.
The new Nim Vind albumis INCREDIBLE!! I've been listening to it non-stop the past few days. he somehow topped his last album. I don't know how that's even possible. You can hear the samples on the myspace.

So what's been happening with me the past few days? Oh not much. Just some god damn drama. A bunch of online friends have blacklisted me from their little xbox group for some simple reasons. I don't like U2 and nirvana. And I also think that bringing twitter and facebook to xbox live (like microsoft is doing) is not such a bad thing. THey've been making up excuses about how I'm a big fat jerkface because I'm honest and direct with them. They even said I have "unbalanced levels of testosterone". Wow. If someone thinks that I have too much testosterone, then you have to be a major pussy. Weird shit man, weird shit. From now on I'm gonna stick to realistic and direct people. I refuse to sensor myself. Unless I'm working of course. |

There was a thread on the ouijaboard about your top five favorite horror movies, and I thought I'd post it here! If you want to go ahead and make a post about yours, go ahead!!
1..Evil Dead II
This movie is FANTASTIC. If you haven't seen it, go rent it immediately. Everyone always points to army of darkness in this series as the best, but I feel army of darkness is a little too kiddy and I never really feel excited when watching army of darkness. It's just...too easy. more of something you'd show your little brother to get him into horror movies. But Evil Dead 2...It's basically a remake of the first one, but way way better. Campbell plays a man who takes his girlfriend to the woods, and soon he accidentally awakens evil spirits and they zombify his girlfriend and all kinds of bad shit happens. Lots of shotgun and chainsaw action. I watched this movie every other weekend for six years when I was little. I think this will always be my favorite movie of all time. I always go back to it. Never gets old for me!
2.Creature from the Black Lagoon
A fantastic creature! Definitely my favorite universal monster. I just love the creature cause like....his whole thing is MACKIN ON BITCHES!! He doesn't want to live forever or kill people or anything like that. he just sees tits and goes "Oh hey baby why don't you come to me". And by hey baby why don't you come to me, I mean I think I'm gonna grab you and drag you under the sea for a while until your jackass friends shoot me.
3.Nosferatu
I really can't explain WHY I like this movie. I am usually too impatient to sit through silent films. But this one I just love. It may have to do with the fact that I saw it when I was really really little, and it holds some nostalgic value. Plus I love vampires, and whenever I get tired of the underworld and twilight faggy retarded vampires, I always go back to nosferatu and think "Oh, the world should think of you when trying to make a vampire story."
4.Fall of the House of Usher
My favorite actor in the world is Vincent Price, and Edgar Allen Poe ain't half bad a writer either. So the combination of course gives me a huge boner. Vincent's acting in this movie moves me. Cause he's a huge asshole, but also a very tortured sole that you can't help but feel sorry for just a LITTLE bit.
5. Dracula (bela lugosi)
I know that Nosferatu has the same tale, but I just love bela lugosi's version of this character. I often find myself repeating lines of this movie. "Listen to them....Children of the night...What music they make!" Since this movie, I have watched other bela lugosi films. They're all bad, but lugosi just has....a certain something. He could be saying the dumbest shit in the world, but because of how he says it, it is very interesting and draws you in.

Dead Alive- Just hilarious!!
Shock-An early vincent price movie. he plays a doctor, and finds out one of his patients witnessed him murder his wife, so he has to trick her into believing that she's crazy.
and last, and certainly least. Bride of the Monster. If you're a fan of the Lugosi/Wood movies, this one you should checkout. It's simply terrible. There are times when they aren't using the boom mic correctly and it just sounds like incoherent mumbling. Badly filmed, poor budget, but if you're a fan of that kind of shit, then go watch it. |

Goolsby has a new band, and it's very bitchin! I was listening to it all night, during some love making, and this morning to get my day started. They're really good! Give 'em a chance for more than just one song, cause they have two different singers. I think goolsby is better. Goolsby sings on songs such as Demons in the Circle, Hernes Oak, Closed Casket Heart, and a few others. This side project is WAY better than gorgeous frankenstein. I can't put a genre on this, but if I had to, I'd say it's a form of goth-punk.

Maybe I'm living under a rock, but I just heard about this obama dijon mustard shit..... What the hell? I saw this comment by someone on youtube.
I am amazed that I share a country with pansy cowards who are afraid of dijon mustard. Dijon is the real man's mustard, and if any dumbass Republican is retarded enough to criticize it in my presence, I will rape them to death in front of their horrified loved ones and record their agonized screams to jerk off to later. Step up, pussies. Step up and die.
I agree with this. Well okay. maybe the rape stuff is a little strong...but c'mon. It's just fucking mustard.
I know I rant a lot on livejournal, but that's really what it's there for. Myspace and twitter are for updating friends. Livejournal is for venting.
Also it drives me crazy when people can't enjoy music when it's not at it's finest studio quality. Like rough demos and stuff for bands. Like if the band is good, don't you want to listen to EVERYTHING they have every done? even the not so pretty stuff? I love hearing rough demos from a band. If you can't listen to choppy live shows, but it's still good music, the way I see it, you don't like music. Well okay. You like music. Just not all that much. You just like being distracted with background music. |

I got really drunk a few nights ago. I'd say it was my first "bad night" and I'm probably not gonna get drunk for a while. Sake is disgusting. Just remembering the taste makes me feel like vomitting. The other day my old sensei said something to me that really inspired me. It was "You have the world in your hands. Now play volleyball."
I like that. I like that a lot.
One more thing. Anybody know of any great vampire movies? Like I love vampires, and I love good vampire movies, but they are so god damn hard to find. A lot of it is that dumb nu-goth metalhead shit. All wearing leather boots and just screaming "I WILL SUCK YOUR BLOOD" with dumb metal music playing. I want a vampire more in the vain of bela lugosi's dracula, the silent film Nosferatu, something with some substance. Maybe a little romance. When I watch vampire movies, I don't necessarily want a slasher. I mean I like slashers, but with vampire movies I like something different. Any suggestions? By the way, this should be obvious, but twilight is definitely out of the fucking question. |

Yep. I saw it. And I'm gonna let you in on it.
So, I'm sure I don't need to tell you this. You only need to see the pictures to know that this movie is fucking TERRIBLE. Now, I went in the theater EXPECTING utter garbage, and figured I'd leave untouched by the utter terrible. I was wrong. Keep in mind, I watch horror movies a lot. I have about 125 bad horror movies, and I enjoy most of them. But I was just not ready for this. It starts off with goku and his grandpa training with pretty bad slomo kung fu scenes. After they train for a bit goku goes into the house with his grandpa and starts whining about his powers. And then he brings up something like "All the kids at school make fun of me cause I'm not normal..."
um..

What the FUCK.
Second off, that is totally out of character from what you would expect. Goku isn't a deep character. I mean you would only need to see one episode of dragon ball to understand how the actor should be like at ALL times. Next scene is a high school fight cause some dudes crushed his bike, and they are ready to fight him, and he backs down like a little pussy. He meets chi chi in highschool, and she's totally nice and pleasant (also very out of character) and goes on to find out about dragonballs and picollo.
Honestly at first. I was just thinking in my head "I'm not a weeaboo japanophile faggot. I can just enjoy this if I don't think of it as a dragon ball movie."
But then something happened that just made me snap. I couldn't fool myself any longer.
You may be looking at this and thinking "Hmm is that actor annoying lucas? I don't see anything wrong with him. He's just an extra, right?"
Well you would be wrong. That motherfucker introduces himself as Yamcha. YAMCHA. He looks like he'd be in fast and the furious or some shit.
Just so you can see the rest of the main actors, here ya go.

and one battle scene.
Look at that. That scene is especially painful. Cause he's wearing the damn orange suit that has been a part of my child hood for so long. That vest, to me, is like supermans S. It stands for all that is good and awesome. And this FUCKER is just rockin it with a short sleeve shirt under it and some fucking baggy black sweat pants.
This movie gets no stars. not even a 1/5. 0/5. And this isn't just because it's dragon ball. No. Even just as a normal movie. If you have never even HEARD of dragon ball, this movie sucks. the actors are terrible, the fight scenes are lame, and once you get past the middle, it just gets so rushed. I really wish I could find a picture of when goku turns into oozaru. When he turns into giant monkey man he's only like 8 feet tall. He just looks like a giant henchmen.
I don't know what else I can mention. I just hope this never gets aired in japan. They'll think we're dumber than they already do. |
